Rajasthan
Rajasthan is an Indian state located in the Northern region of India. It was established on 26-Jan-1950. The capital of the state is Jaipur. The official language is Hindi. Additional official language includes English. Major rivers include Chambal, Luni, Banas, Mahi.
As per Census 2011, the total area of the state is 342,239 square kilometres, including 335,606 square kilometres of rural area and 6,633 square kilometres of urban area.
The state has a unicameral legislature with 25 Lok Sabha seats, 10 Rajya Sabha seats, 200 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the Rajasthan High Court. Rajasthan shares borders with Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab, and has an international border with Pakistan.
